This first ART@home art pack is dedicated to wonder of watercolours!
The ART@home1 pack contents include not only the art materials and art papers but also the additional elements to support the ART@home project.
ART@home1 also contained a 16-page booklet that I designed. It gives some information on the materials, theme and offers inspiration for the client and carer while they explore and make art together. It also includes a simple guide to two carefully selected watercolour techniques and an activity.
The theme chosen for the ART@home1 pack was Landscape. I will go into more detail on the research behind and reasons for the various decisions that I made while developing the ART@home series at a later stage. This blog post is more to give you a taste of what’s inside the ART@home1 pack!
Two specific watercolour techniques were chosen to outline in the ART@home1 booklet.
One activity was chosen to compliment the landscape theme of the ART@home1 pack. The booklet contains simple guidelines on how to create a sunset landscape watercolour painting.
Finally, each booklet in the ART@home series includes a blank page at the back for ‘Doodles & thoughts’ to be recorded by the client and carer.
A feedback form and information on how to send images of the completed watercolour artworks (for the online exhibition) are also included in the booklet.
