Workshop 8 blog post 2:

When I began to look into what I would offer to the clients of Rose Cottage for their last workshop I realised that we had only worked in 3D once at the beginning with clay. With 3D as my starting point I looked again at the Meeting me at MOMA workshop matrix system for some ideas. After a bit I decided to investigate some of the techniques of paper manipulation. There are so many…in the end I created a technique board with some of the main ways of working with paper that I thought would be easy enough to do for the clients in Rose Cottage. See image below.

As you can see I grouped the variations of the techniques using different colour for each grouping. Colour was going to play a large part in the inspiration for this workshop.

Workshops kindly funded by the Adelaide Health Foundation, Community Health Initiative Scheme 2019

Supported by The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. Special thanks to Alan Carrick, Mary Mooney, Silva Schwer and all the staff, clients and friends of Rose Cottage.
