Workshop 7 background:

Workshop 7: visual artist Olivia Hassett worked in conjunction with musician Sophie Lee to bring this unique music inspired art workshop to Rose Cottage. Special thanks to Sophie for her insight, enthusiasm and help with this workshop.
Sophie has been involved with many noteworthy projects click this link to see her work with children in Tallaght Hospital: http://www.artsandhealth.ie/case-studies/soothing-sounds/. Sophie is also currently undertaking a research PhD investigating how music can help those living with a dementia.
The workshop project in Rose Cottage gave us both a chance to talk about, explore and share research on our common interests of how the arts can potentially add to the lives of those living with a dementia. Sophie and I met and communicated over numerous e-mail to design the workshop in Rose Cottage. Facilitating a workshop in Rose Cottage with art and music co-creating together was an amazing opportunity for all.
